Grammy & Aunty are Gone :(

Once again Mikayla is back to toughing it out with only two adults! Mikayla got to meet more family and attempted to break the Guinness Book of World Records for how long a baby can be held. She has the new record, but I can tell she's ready to set a new one!

Aunt Annie was here for the 4th of July weekend to enjoy her new little niece...

Looks to me like Mikayla was enjoying her new found Aunt as well.

In fact Mikayla selected Aunt Annie for a special explosive spit-up followed by a very very special explosive poop! No clothes were safe from Mikayla's bodily functions over the 4th.

Mikayla also got to meet her second cousin Nikki and her husband Jamie who were nice enough to take time from their vacation on The Strip to join us for a bbq on the 4th. This little girl attracts a crowd.

After the 4th the crowd thinned down a bit, but the spoiling did not!

Grammy and Mikayla couldn't get enough of each other.

Assume the position Grammy!

"Grammy don't go, who will hold me all day, every day?"

Of course, Mikayla was not the only one spoilled by the visit. Magically our house was clean and I had time to go to the gym everyday, absolutely wonderful! We can't wait for the next visit...Aunt Amber we're ready for you!

Who was spoiled more?

Just last week Mom and Don left and I'm not sure who was more spoiled, Hubby and I or Mikayla! They cooked, they cleaned, they fixed things, they held the baby, they held the baby, they held the baby, they held the baby, they held the baby....

Of course a nap from time to time!

During Mom's last visit we ran around Vegas getting everything ready for the baby. This time, with the baby here, we stayed plenty busy in the house doing the baby's favorite things, eat sleep poop, of course.

"Ah, in the hands of a professional!"

I knew that baby's were exhausting, but to experience it is something else entirely! Mom took the morning feedings and let me sleep in, it was fantastic. After a few days I started feeling alive again! We even made it out for a few walks with the B.O.B.

When Mom and Don weren't holding the baby they spent time cooking, cleaning, putting tint on car windows and generally being spectacular!

Unfortunately I didn't have a prize ready when Mom finished changing her 100th diaper for the week.

All the affection was exhausting for Mikayla!

Mikayla experienced quite the shock after Mom and Don left and she actually had to sit in her swing occasionally! Fortunately for her it was only for four days before reinforcements arrived! More on that later.
