Hubby handed the blogging back to me and I'm a bit behind, now that my Mom is here I have a little bit more time. As I type Grandma is feeding Mikayla, who I think is on a little growth spurt and eating every 1.5-2.0 hours. She'll be full grown in a month at this rate.
I have to say that no longer being pregnant is wonderful! I didn't have a difficult pregnancy (not to mention is was three weeks shorter than planned), but it is so nice to be able to touch my toes and not feel as though I have to constantly go to the bathroom. I no longer have to sit on the floor to get my shoes on, I can just bend right over and tie them, wonderful!
Mikayla's getting a little more alert everyday. She refuses to sleep in her crib during the day, but fortunately she will sleep in her bouncy seat and swing, thank goodness. She can track moving objects with her eyes and she smiles a bit, but hasn't had the big toothless intentional smile, but I'm sure it will be here soon.
Below are a few updated pics of Mikayla, I used a piece of fruit for size comparison in one, enjoy....
Mikayla, Mom and Dad had a great week. We have started to get into a groove. We are feeding every two hours or so. Sometimes she eats right at the two hour mark and others times its an hour or so. Alright, alright...Mom and Dad are TRYING to get on a schedule and hoping Mikayla follows suit.
Below are the pictures of week two for your viewing pleasure. The majority of pictures are of a sleeping baby. Unfortunately, actions shots are few and far between. We are trying to increase the action photos. Mikayla is easing into being an action star...more to follow.
Mikayla decided she needed to get some exercise. So she started doing some pushups and planks. Auntie Anne would be proud (the form was perfect).
After a tough workout, Mikayla needed to re-energize with a little nap.I think Mikayla has worn out the bouncy chair. Mikayla and Mom hanging out in the backyard for a quick game of fetch with Cayman. As you can tell Mikayla looks thrilled. Brandy got outside today and decided to do a little yard work. She still has yet to leave the house other than the pediatrician's office. Her goal is to get out of the house next weekend when Max visits.Mikayla and Dad are reading a book in the playpen. Mikayla has not starting reading yet...she is only 2 weeks old. Well prior to the arrival of Mikayla, Mom and Dad decided to replace the backyard so Cayman and Brumbee would not bring in excess dust and dirt. We put new sod down Oct 08 and the dog destroyed it. So this time we had turf put in. We are enjoying the "new" backyard and so are the puppies.
We hope you enjoyed the post and pics. I have started working full-time again, so the posts will not be a often. We will try to post as much as possible.
